Rules

1. The standard set.
--no godmoding - do not attempt to control someone else's character, use player knowledge or metagame.
--IC does not equal OOC
--If you have a problem with another player that cannot be resolved amicably, bring it to the mods.

2. Characters should be 18+.

3. Shipping -- there should be more to a character than a romantic involvement. Please bear this in mind.

4. Canon characters must retain their canon sexuality. Northstar is gay, Wolverine is straight, Anole is gay, Gambit is straight, Mystique is bisexual, et cetera. OCs can be whatever sexuality the player chooses.

5. Ultimate is not accepted canon in this game.

6. Children, Clones, Alternate Timeline/Reality characters are prohibited. Exceptions can be made at the discretion of the parent's player for canon children and with mod approval. i.e. Nocturne, X-23, Daken, the Stepford Cuckoos are all prohibited. (Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, Lorna Dane and Kurt Wagner are allowed.)

7. Non-mutants are prohibited. While spider-man and iron-man do exist those types are not player characters in this game.

8. Activity: you are expected to make one IC post at least every two weeks. The mods understand RL happens and are more than willing to accommodate hiatuses but we must be kept apprised of them. People who post one sentence at activity check time just to keep their characters will receive a warning after the second time this is noticed, and character removal after the fourth.

9. Please f-lock any threads containing overt sexual activity, extreme violence/brutality, or other mature themes. All threads should contain a warning if there is anything above PG-13 rating.

10. PBs should be age appropriate.

11. There is a character limit of 5 and a canon limit of 3, due to the desire of the mods to see quality over quantity, as well as the desire to leave canon characters open for new players to assume the role of.

12. Major outbreaks of violence, wide-scale destruction of property, interaction with major NPCs of the setting require mod permission. You can get in a fist fight with another player without an issue, but melees of 10 people, blowing up a school building or flying to Washington to punch Beast in the face all require Mod approval.

13. Modification of canon characters: Canon character age, history and place in the universe may be modified to suit the altered timeline or personal interest. It is fine to play a 16 year old version of Colossus who grew up in democratic Russia instead of Soviet Russia. Ethnicity, sexuality, gender and mutations must remain the same however. Any radical changes in ideology or ethics should be thoroughly explained. A "good guy" Pyro is acceptable, but should be written with an appropriate backstory.
